Jan-Erik Hansson new Chairman of Lantmännen

Lantmännen’s Annual General Meeting elected Karin Berggren as a new member of Lantmännen’s Board of Directors. At the statutory board meeting that followed, Jan-Erik Hansson was elected as the new Chairman.

At the Annual General Meeting held on 7 May in Stockholm, it was decided that Lantmännen's Group Board of Directors shall consist of nine members elected by the Annual General Meeting and employee representatives. The Annual General Meeting resolved to re-elect Patrick Aulin, Jenny Bengtsson and Johan Bygge, and to elect Karin Berggren as a new member. Prior to the meeting, Per Lindahl, Chairman of the Board, and Gunilla Aschan, Board member, had declined re-election.

At the statutory board meeting that followed the meeting, Jan-Erik Hansson was elected chairman and Patrick Aulin was elected vice chairman.

Lantmännen's Board of Directors thus consists of Chairman Jan-Erik Hansson, Vice Chairman Patrick Aulin and Board members Jenny Bengtsson, Jacob Bennet, Karin Berggren, Charlotte Elander, Per Wijkander, Marie Grönborg and Johan Bygge as well as three employee representatives.

Briefly about the new chairman Jan-Erik Hansson

Jan-Erik Hansson has been part of Lantmännen's Board of Directors since 2022, the last two years as Vice Chairman. Jan-Erik runs an extensive agricultural business in Färila in Hälsingland. The business includes milk, meat, contracting, real estate and forestry. Jan-Erik has solid experience of and good knowledge of agricultural and food operations as well as previous experience from board work in other international cooperative companies.


Briefly about new member Karin Berggren

Karin Berggren runs a business with beef production, crop production, forestry and rental of properties in Ishult, Kristdala, in Småland. Karin has international experience and has held several leadership roles. She is also a board member of the local bank Lönneberga-Tuna-Vena Sparbank and of the American family business.
