A sustainable agriculture sector is the key to a sustainable and productive food system. The road ahead is full of possibilities and challenges which cannot be acheieved or overcome alone. Right now the need for collaboration is greater than ever. That is why Lantmännen Research Foundation in 2023 awards SEK 25 million to research building new knowledge and innovation.

We welcome submissions for project ideas during the application period of June 20 - October 2 (deadline October 2, 2pm). Final funding decisions are announced in December.
Agriculture & machinery
Together towards the farming of the future. The goal is to support the development of profitable and environmentally sustainable agriculture. Ongoing climate changes and a turbulent world situation emphasize the need for a well-functioning agriculture sector encompassing both crop and animal production.
Food & health
Together forwards to the foods of the future and a sustainable food system. The aim of the call Food & health is to generate new knowledge that can be used in the development of future foods and ingredients from grains or other plant-based raw materials. The scope of the research area encompasses the entire chain, from raw materials to consumption.
