Västernorrland

The Västernorrland district is located in the eastern part of central Norrland, with Sundsvall as its largest city. The district borders Västerbotten to the north, Jämtland to the west, and Gävleborg to the south. Agricultural production in the district is dominated by forage crops and green fodder, along with some grain cultivation, particularly spring barley. Lantmännen’s northernmost research station is located in Lännäs, just outside Sollefteå. The district has 230 members.
