Farming of the future

Towards climate-neutral agriculture by 2050

Lantmännen has a clear plan to meet the challenges of agriculture - a plan we call Farming of the future. We can increase harvests and reach climate neutrality by 2050.

To develop the Farming of the future and meet the goals of the Paris Agreement, Lantmännen works in four areas - knowledge, evidence, offering and collaboration.

Our mission

Our calculations show that there are good opportunities to increase production while reducing environmental and climate impact and benefiting biodiversity. A broader transition to 2030 is possible if the right conditions are provided, as the technology and knowledge are already in place. Closing the innovation gap by 2050 requires more knowledge, research and innovation.

Lantmännen's goal is to create the conditions for sustainable primary production with halved climate impact every ten years, in order to reach climate neutrality by 2050.
