Lars-Gunnar Edh, currently Head of Lantmännen Biorefineries, is appointed Head of the Lantmännen Energy sector and will be part of Lantmännen's Group Management Team in his new assignment.
Lars-Gunnar started as M.D of Lantmännen Agroetanol AB in 2019 and has developed the business and created a cohesive business between Agroetanol, Reppe, Oats and Functional Foods in biorefining.
"I am happy to announce that Lars-Gunnar Edh will take over as Head of the Energy sector. Lars-Gunnar has extensive international experience from various industries, which together with his esteemed leadership and personality will contribute to continued profitable growth in the Energy sector," says Magnus Kagevik, newly appointed CEO and Group President of Lantmännen.
Lars-Gunnar has previous experience from international and senior positions from Assa Abloy, Saab Automobile and General Motors. He has a Master's degree in engineering from Chalmers University of Technology.
"I feel honored to be appointed Head of the Energy sector. There are several strategic and forward-looking investments and acquisitions that create conditions for further future growth and profitability within the sector, where I hope to be able to contribute with my experience. At the same time, I am proud of all the committed and skilled employees within Biorefineries and what we have achieved by developing northern Europe's largest biorefineries with world-class sustainability. I am very much looking forward to my new assignment," says Lars-Gunnar Edh.
Lars-Gunnar will take up his position on April 1, at the same time as Magnus Kagevik, currently Head of Lantmännen's Energy sector, will assume the role of Lantmännen's CEO and Group President. The recruitment of Lars-Gunnar's replacement as Head of Lantmännen Biorefineries will begin shortly.
"I am convinced that Lars-Gunnar is the right person to develop the Energy sector going forward. It is also very positive that in a short time we can make two important managerial appointments internally, a proof that our long-term leadership planning works and that we have a strong organization. I wish both Lars-Gunnar and Magnus the best of luck in their new roles," says Per Olof Nyman, current CEO and Group President of Lantmännen.
