Lantmännen reported a profit for the year of MSEK 1,877 after net financial items and adjusted for items affecting comparability. This is a significant improvement compared to the profit of MSEK 1,387 for the previous year. This positive development is attributable to progress made in all sectors and business areas. The excellent performance also means that Lantmännen can propose a dividend of MSEK 730 in total, the largest ever.
“The past few years have been the most successful in Lantmännen’s history, and I am prepared say that we as a company are in a stronger position than ever before. We are going to continue to focus on further strengthening our positions on the market, by further investments in infrastructure, product and service development along with research and development within all areas of operation,” says Per Olof Nyman, Lantmännen Group President and CEO.
Responsibility and sustainability are key to Lantmännen and part of our Field to Fork 2030 strategy. Lantmännen is driving the development towards more circular business and greater resource efficiencies. In the Sustainability Report you can read about initiatives such as the report on Farming of the Future - the way to climate-neutral agriculture by 2050, and the cultivation program Climate & Nature, that aim to reduce climate impact and support biodiversity.
“Work on sustainable business development is continuing. We are working in a targeted way with our members and other parties to continue to strengthen the way we take responsibility and at the same time successfully commercialise the sustainable added value we can offer,” says Nyman.
