Record dividend awarded to Lantmännen’s members

Press releases, 2023

Lantmännen delivered a strong result for 2022. Thanks to this, a record dividend of 1 080 MSEK is made possible, and is now paid out to the members, Swedish farmers. The dividend decision was made by the Annual General Meeting today.

The dividend to members, which was decided at Lantmännen’s Annual General Meeting today, is the highest in Lantmännen’s history – in total 1 080 million Swedish kronor.

”It is very gratifying that the board once again can propose a record dividend to our members. The great cost increases for input goods, energy and transports have been – and continue to be – great challenges and business risks for Swedish farmers. Lantmännen’s dividend is an important contribution to ensure profitable and sustainable Swedish farming and Swedish food supply. I want to extend a big thank you to all our members and employees, who have contributed to the strong result that makes this dividend possible,” says Lantmännen’s Chairman of the Board, Per Lindahl.

Despite high economic uncertainty and a generally unstable external environment, Lantmännen in 2022 delivered its highest result ever: the result after net financial items and adjusted for items affecting comparability amounted to 2 536 MSEK – an improvement over the 2021 result of 2 202 MSEK. A major reason for the good result has been Lantmännen’s broad business portfolio, where the Energy Sector and Swecon Business Area delivered the highest results ever, while the Food Sector operations were put under pressure.

“We are in a good position and will continue to invest in the entire value chain from field to fork, and in developing a thriving Swedish agriculture and a robust Swedish food supply. Lantmännen’s ambition is to be the best agricultural cooperative in the world, and I look forward to continuing to develop the group together with all our members and employees,” says Magnus Kagevik, Lantmännen’s Group President and CEO.
