Earlier this year, Lantmännen was named Sweden’s most sustainable food brand in Sustainable Brand Index’s (SBI) survey amoung Swedish consumers. SBI has now presented the results of its latest sustainability survey – this time surveying Swedish business customers – and Lantmännen is once again at the top of the list. Lantmännen is named the most sustainable brand within the Fast Moving Consumer Goods category.
“We’re very happy every time our sustainability work is recognised. It is clear that we have been successful in reaching both Swedish consumers and our customers within food retailing and restaurants. It is a significant position that will strengthen our businesses even further,” says Carl-Peter Thorwid, Head of Lantmännen Cerealia.
SBI is the largest independent brand index within sustainability in the Nordic countries. This new survey is aimed at business customers and is based on responses from 1,000 decision-makers with responsibility for purchasing within different categories on the Swedish market. The FMCG or Fast Moving Consumer Goods category, includes food retailing, the service sector plus catering companies and restaurants.
“Our top ranking shows that we have been successful in communicating the values we stand for and the advantages our company brings. Lantmännen being ranked as one of the most sustainable brands in Sweden shows that we are succeeding in brand building,” says Madelaine Hellqvist Kongstad, Director Communications & Branding at Lantmännen.
