Meet: Henrik, Construction Project Manager at Lantmännen Real Estate

In his role as a Construction Project Manager at Lantmännen Real Estate, Henrik Lindelöf supports property managers with various projects, from new constructions of machinery facilities to repairs and maintenance. "Besides good planning, the composition of the team is the key to success," he says.
Can you briefly describe what you work on at Lantmännen Real Estate?
In my role as a construction project manager, I support property managers with project implementations of various kinds – everything from building new facilities to repair and maintenance work.
Have you had other roles at Lantmännen?
No, before I started at Lantmännen, I worked in a similar role at ICA Real Estate. What made me apply for the position was the diverse property portfolio, which brings incredible variety to the tasks. I really like that!
“Our success lay in the trust and the expertise and ability of all involved parties to collaborate on a complex task under time pressure.”
Is there anything that you appreciate especially much in your job?
There are many things I appreciate. The start of a project is always special. That's when you set the conditions for the individual project by finding the right partners, gathering information and requests from managers or tenants, and planning the implementation. Another part of the projects that I appreciate a lot is being able to proudly hand over completed projects to the management organization during the handover phase.
Can you tell us about a project that has been particularly interesting, challenging, fun, or different?
It must be the reconstruction of the pancake factory in Laholm. The fire occurred shortly after I started at Lantmännen, so it was straight into the heat for me. The project had very free reins to carry out the reconstruction, where we immediately set the goal to start production as soon as possible since everything was down after the fire. We succeeded, and on the desired date, we started the ventilation, and production could resume. Our success lay in the trust and the expertise and ability of all involved parties to collaborate on a complex task under time pressure. A positive side effect was that I quickly got many contact points and a good insight into Lantmännen's organization, which gave me a fantastic start as a new employee.
You have several parallel, often extensive projects running simultaneously. What qualities and skills are required in your role?
Through careful preparation and securing the right resources and building trust in the team, I can confidently delegate responsibility and manage several projects simultaneously. This allows me to focus on the overall picture and leave the details to the experts. I also inform consultants and contractors about the project's benefits for Lantmännen, both during and after implementation.
What is the best thing about working at Lantmännen?
A very pleasant working climate, wonderful colleagues, and many varied projects in exciting environments. The colleagues are incredibly helpful, and we have fun working together.
