Tell us about your current role.
My current role is within the Biorefineries QEHS (Quality, Environment, Health & Safety) organization, which means that I work across all sites within the company. This creates a dynamic and exciting everyday life where I get a good overall view of the company. My tasks are largely linked to our sites' sustainability certificate (ISCC) and to ensure that we comply with its rules. This includes internal and external audits, climate calculations and improvement work. The role also involves team surveillance, holding training courses and participating in projects. There is a lot of collaboration with other departments, which is fun.
Have you always had your sights set on working as a sustainability engineer?
No, that wasn't my original goal, but I've always wanted to work in the field of the environment, sustainability or safety. My interest in the environment and climate led me to safety work and an education that combined these subjects. During my studies, I did an internship at the QEHS department at Agroetanol. Then I got an opportunity as a sustainability engineer, which I enjoy very much!
What attracted you to apply for a job at Lantmännen?
Lantmännen's breadth across the entire value chain and that sustainability work is taken seriously and valued.
Tell us about any part of your job that you find particularly interesting to work with.
I think the work with alternative ingredients is particularly interesting. For those who don't know, alternative raw materials are the raw materials we bring in that come from waste and residual products. I also think it's very interesting to be involved in new projects, for example when we build new factory lines.
What qualities are important to succeed in your current role?
To be thorough and structured, but also to be flexible to be able to quickly adjust plans when new things appear. It is also important to be curious in order to understand the entirety of our facilities.
What motivates you to develop?
What drives me to develop is that it's fun to learn new things and to gain an increased understanding and holistic view.

Lantmännen is an eventful employer that is constantly developing and that gives its employees every opportunity to develop in their professional lives. This creates a dynamic workplace and a great feeling when there is always something new to learn.
