Tillväxtbolaget secures SEK 120 million to enable faster growth on Swedish farms

News, 2025

Tillväxtbolaget has received SEK 120 million in new capital from its owners to further expand and continue to enable profitable, sustainable and growth-focused investments in Swedish agricultural companies.

In total, Tillväxtbolaget’s top loans have enabled investments of more than SEK 3.6 billion and the recipients are, relative to the farmers in general, significantly younger.

“To assist the move towards more sustainable agriculture, more approved investments are needed and the financial system needs to help drive that shift. And that’s where we come in,” says Helena Silvander, CEO of Tillväxtbolaget.

By enabling investments and changes of ownership, the new funds will strengthen competitiveness, create growth and increase sustainable investments on Swedish farms.

“Last year, we increased the number of approved loans by almost 50 percent, which enabled investments of more than SEK 1.3 billion. Our new capital will enable us to maintain the same high growth rate going forward,” says Helena Silvander, CEO of Tillväxtbolaget.

“Our investments support younger farmers to a great extent, which on a structural level is absolutely crucial for Swedish agriculture. The ability to borrow is a prerequisite for long-term ownership for many farmers, not least in the event of generational and ownership changes,” concludes Helena Silvander.

Tillväxtbolaget are specialists in the financing of agriculture and can, together with farmers and banks, facilitate future investments in agricultural companies.

Tillväxtbolaget is jointly owned by Lantmännen, LRF, Svensk Mjölk, Scan Sverige and Växa Sverige.
