"Our operations are based on the district meetings, where all members have one vote, and the district meetings are followed by the annual general meeting in May. The meetings are both a productive and social way for our members to have their voices heard and the opportunity to discuss and ask questions to the group management and the board of directors of Lantmännen," says Stina Nilsson, Head of Membership at Lantmännen.
Several motions were presented and new elected representatives were elected to the various district boards.
"The motions are a way for us to continue to develop our business and make it a little better tomorrow than it was yesterday. We see a great interest in continuing to influence development. Positive change always starts with commitment, and the meetings contribute with both," says Stina.
Regardless of the district meeting and location, representatives from the company management and the group board talk about the past year, look ahead and open up for discussion.
"Finally, I would like to extend a big thank you to all the outgoing district board members – and a welcome to all new elected representatives," says Stina.
