At Lantmännen, our employees are crucial to our success. We strive to offer a safe, secure and inclusive work environment where health, well-being and development are in focus. By preventing accidents, promoting a strong safety culture and offering opportunities for learning and development, we create the conditions for a sustainable working life. We work with fair and competency-based recruitment, and have a clear focus on gender equality and inclusion. These issues are integrated into our strategy and form an important foundation for the entire Group.

Work environment and safety

Lantmännen has a strategy to achieve a world-class safety culture by 2030, where the clear ambition is that no employee should be exposed to danger or injured in the workplace. The most common accidents are falls at the same level, hitting a solid object and getting stuck or squeezed between objects. Preventive work on risk observations and closure rates of reported accidents and risk observations was exceeded by over 100% by 2024.We monitor the frequency of accidents within the Group on a monthly basis. The accident frequency is calculated based on the number of accidents per million hours worked.

The goal is to reach <7 by 2025 and <1 by 2030. The outcome for 2024 was 10.2

Attract, develop and retain skills

At Lantmännen, employee development is a strategic priority. We work long-term to attract the right people, create individual competence plans and offer career paths that enable growth, both within their field and between different parts of the Group. The goal is for half of all positions to be filled with internal candidates, which strengthens both commitment and continuity. The goal was achieved in 2024.

Through a wide range of development programs, leadership initiatives and opportunities for international experience, we create a work environment where employees can develop and take the next step in their professional journey.

Inclusion and gender equality

At Lantmännen, gender equality and inclusion are an important part of our strategy for a sustainable working life. We follow up on the gender distribution among employees and managers, including management teams. We also analyse the age distribution into three groups: under 30 years, 30-50 years and over 50 years, to promote a good balance.

We strive to offer a workplace where everyone, regardless of gender, age or background, is given equal opportunities to contribute and develop. Through inclusive working methods and conscious recruitment processes, we counteract discrimination and promote a respectful work environment.
