Västernorrland

District Västernorrland is located in the eastern part of central Norrland with Sundsvall as the largest town. To the north, the district is bordered by Västerbotten County, to the west by Jämtland County, and to the south by Gävleborg County. Cultivation in the district is dominated by grassland and green fodder as well as some cereals such as spring barley. In Lännäs outside Sollefteå is Lantmännen's northernmost research station. Here, grassland and spring barley processing for northern Sweden is a central part of the business. The district has 230 members.
