Västerbotten

District Västerbotten is located in upper Norrland, is the second largest county in Sweden and occupies one-eighth of Sweden's area. The district has a varied nature, everything from the barren coastal landscape of the Gulf of Bothnia to the mighty mountain nature in the west on the border with Norway. Cultivation in the district is dominated by grassland and green fodder as well as cereals such as spring barley and oats. Lantmännen has a grain reception in Dagernäs outside Umeå, which supplies the feed factory in Holmsund with locally produced raw materials.
