Jämtland

District Jämtland, with about 260 members, is located in southern Norrland's inland in central Sweden. Jämtland is one of the provinces in Sweden with the highest number of people living in rural areas. Here they have their own language, Jämtska (Jamska), and their own republic, the Republic of Jamtland with its own national anthem. Cultivation in the district is dominated by grassland and green fodder as well as some cereals such as spring barley and oats, which are mainly grown around Storsjön.
