Gotland

On Gotland, there is a very intensive agriculture that is promoted by the very special geographical location in comparison with the rest of Sweden. Animal production is of great importance to the island, so there is a feed factory, dairy and slaughterhouse. Grain is grown to be used for feed and for the milling industry. Other common crops are grassland, fodder maize and oilseeds. On the island, there are also many vegetable producers who pack vegetables and root vegetables in several places on the island. The district has 660 members.
