Gävleborg

The district of Gävleborg with 398 members is formed from the provinces of Hälsingland and Gästrikland. Cultivation in the district is dominated by grassland and green fodder, as well as grain. Grain production is centred in Gästrikland, in the southern part of the district where spring barley, wheat, oats and oilseeds are grown. Maize is a new crop that is being tested with good results by several farmers in the district.
