Data Engineer


At Lantmännen Unibake, our mission is to transform our organization through data-driven decision-making, enhancing every function from HR, finance to Supply Chain. We are seeking a seasoned Data Engineer to join our data team, to champion the use of data supported by the latest technology, across our business.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize our data infrastructure. The Data Engineer ensures that the data sources and associated data sets are actionable and maintained for the benefit of our local cluster, in good collaboration with the group. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, a passion for data, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Your Key Responsibilities will be (but not limited to) :

  • Drive and act as an internal subject matter expert for our cloud-based platforms together with our other (local & global) Data Engineers
  • Think holistic in data architecture and modeling concepts
  • Optimize and manage data storage solutions.
  • Design, develop, implement, maintain and connect new data sources towards our Lakehouse to reach our goal to expand centralization and data
  • Setup and maintain pro-active monitoring of datasets and its endpoints, as well as troubleshooting, to keep our datasets in highest quality for the business processes
  • Automate and move data between end points like ERP,CRM, PIM and other systems as such that from a Single Point of View data can be accessible for data insights (dashboarding) and activation for financial, sales and marketing execution
  • Collaborate with our data analysts to ensure data quality and accessibility.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations.

Who are you ?

  • Bachelor’s or master's degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems.
  • Experience with Data Modeling (dbt), scripting (Python), data processing (piping and orchestration) and API integrations
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure)
  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD
  • Minimal 5 years of experience in a BI environment
  • Experience to work in an IT department and familiar with Agile way of working
