Record dividend of 1.2 billion to Lantmännen’s members

Press releases, 2024

Lantmännen’s strong result for 2023 made a record dividend of SEK 1.2 billion to its members, active Swedish farmers, possible. The dividend decision was made by the Annual General Meeting today.

”Considering last year’s harvest result and the tough financial situation on many farms, it is very gratifying that Lantmännen delivered a strong result, which means that the Annual General Meeting once again was able to decide on a record dividend for our members. That money will contribute to strengthening Swedish agricultural companies, and thereby Swedish food supply. I would like to extend a warm thank you to all of our members and employees who have contributed to the strong result that made this dividend possible,” says Per Lindahl, Lantmännen’s Chairman of the Board.

Lantmännen delivered a very strong result in 2023: the result after net financial items and adjusted for items affecting comparability amounted to 2 462 MSEK, which is only slightly lower than 2022’s record result of 2 536 MSEK. During the year, mainly the Energy Sector, the Swecon Business Area and the international food operations delivered very good results, while the Swedish food business had a more difficult time.

“Lantmännen’s broad business portfolio and stable financial position is a strength that affords us a margin of maneuver that not every company has. Going forward, we will focus on cost control, while we continue to invest in the refinement of Swedish grain and meat to increase Swedish food production. Together with all our members and employees, we continue to develop a world-class company and world-class Swedish farming,” says Magnus Kagevik, Lantmännen’s Group President and CEO.
