Supply Chain Controller


As our Business Supply Chain Controller, you facilitate actively the S&OP cycle of our cluster (covering Belgium, Netherlands, France, Italy & Spain). You will help and support the supply chain team in making the right business decisions by creating transparency in the financial performance. You overview and manage insights of performance within warehouse and distribution costs, with a clear connection to the commercial and operations business.

Your key responsibilities

  • You challenge and support the supply chain team with accurate management information and transparency on performance in the warehouse, transportation and support costs.
  • You lead deliverables from controlling, such as weekly and monthly dashboards, participate in the month-end closing process, support and coordination of yearly budget and Financial forecasts. You validate the outcome of the Budget and Financial forecast vs the sales forecast
  • You facilitate the S&OP process by:
    • support the stakeholders in the preparation, to secure short, mid-term and long-term integrated financial business perspectives.
    • Liaise with operations and sales to support in making the financial impact transparent of the integrated scenario analysis /preparation to mitigate imbalance analysis, risk mitigation and recommendations.
    • Act as S&OP Ambassador, formulating recommendations and improvements in the process to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the S&OP cycle.
  • You support our supply chain team by:
    • Business partnering to our Supply Chain team, assisting with cost control , reporting variances, co-owning forecasts / budgets, providing decision support input to reduce cost to serve.
    • Challenging and maintaining the warehouse & distribution costs in the margin model.
    • Give trainings - together with SC Team - to the commercial team, providing insights on how we can improve our cost to serve to lower costs and increase margins
    • Deliver financial input on Supply chain cost drivers in the monthly SC report to main markets and bring transparency on impact of most important SC cost drivers (eg Dropsizes, distance, weight of pallets) and their impact on the financial result.
    • Participate in Supply chain projects to create transparency and alignment on financial and operational E2E impact (eg new warehouse / voice picking / inventory optimalisation)
    • Drive together with the Supply Chain team the Cost saving initiatives process (eg Tenders)
    • Monitoring the financial impact of forecast accuracy on the inventory level and working capital
    • You drive continuous improvement of processes and systems through further automation and process standardization.

Your profile

  • After obtaining graduated as a Master, preferably in an economically oriented specialization.
  • You have minimum 5 years of working experience with a first experience as controller in the FMCG sector; whilst having a background in a manufacturing/production industry is a clear advantage.
  • Business partnering and experience within a matrix structure and international environment.
  • You have profound knowledge of MS Office tools - especially Excel and PowerPoint – and affinity for software systems, e.g. BI tool, Power BI
  • You have proficient language skills in Dutch and English; knowledge of any other language is a clear asset

  • You are a client- and service-oriented person who delivers qualitative work in a timely manner.
  • You are well-organized and you can handle tight deadlines whilst maintaining high standards of work.
  • You are a self-starter who’s motivated to look for efficiencies and you show flexibility to shift between priorities when needed.
  • You are an excellent communicator and you are a cross departmental team player.
  • You are able to work across a matrix and influence colleagues without direct line management responsibility;
  • You are ambitious, entrepreneurial and eager to learn.

Place of work: Londerzeel whilst we also offer the possibility of home-working for 1-2 days per week. Occasionally you will travel to our production site in Mouscron.
