We are looking for an experienced Global Category Manager - Energy to join our Lantmännen Unibake team at our office in Copenhagen, Denmark.

This is what you will do

We are seeking a Global Category Manager to lead the development and execution of the Unibake category strategy for energy. In this role, you will be the business expert, providing essential advice and support to stakeholders, managing financial risks and ensuring our energy supplier portfolio is effectively managed. You will also be responsible for setting global energy budgets and forecasting prices across all our business units.
This role includes a significant amount of travel, offering the opportunity to engage with teams across various regions and drive our energy procurement strategy on a global scale. If you're ready for an exciting and impactful role, we want to hear from you!

Primary areas of responsibility:

  • Lead the development and execution of the Unibake energy category strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives
  • Serve as the business expert in energy procurement, offering advice on both commodity and non-commodity costs to stakeholders globally
  • Develop and execute global energy contracts while managing supplier relationships and ensuring long-term performance
  • Oversee commodity financial risks and ensure compliance with standards, controls, policies, and risk guidelines
  • Coordinate global energy budgets and price forecasting for accurate financial planning across all units
  • Lead the procurement of green energy certifications and drive sustainability in energy sourcing, including renewable investments and alternative fuels
  • Develop and maintain an energy reporting dashboard and manage ad-hoc requests, especially during crises
  • Act as the procurement lead on energy-related projects, such as renewable investments and alternative fuel solutions

    This is what you need to succeed:

    • Minimum 5 years of experience, preferably in energy procurement within an international context
    • Proven experience in leading projects or contributing as part of a project team
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships on a global scale
    • General knowledge of ERP systems
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    • Excellent proficiency in English (written and spoken)
    • Open for regular business travel to our global business units.

      Expected traveling days:

      The role requires significant travel, up to 50% of your time could be spent visiting our bakery business units.
