Three trainees 2008/2009

17 trainees started their careers in September 2008. Below three of them tell you why they chose Lantmännen, what their assigments are now and what the future holds. Feel free to write an e-mail if you want to contact one of our present trainees!

All the interesting companies and brands within Lantmännen, the corporate values and all the positive things i had heard about the programme was what caught my interest. Today I am working with the supply chain for Lantmännen Lantbruk in Norrköping implementing new routines, and also participating in management meetings learning lots of new things. The next period I will work with Lantmännen CEO Per Strömberg on strategy analysis, which feels exciting and challenging! One of the great things about the programme is that we gain insight into so many of the diverse parts of the Lantmännen Group.

I chose Lantmännen because I feel it is a company with values that correlates perfectly with my own. Lantmännen’s emphasis on health and sustainability gives me pride in my work. Furthermore, because of my interest in international business Lantmännen is a highly attractive company, as it is in a period of massive internationalization. My first period is in the finance department of Lantmännen Unibake where I am working on a project in financial risk management. For my next period, I will be working with process models for supply chain at HQ. I am excited about this assignment because it is in an area I am unacquainted with. So, it will definitely be an enlightening challenge.

I chose the Lantmännen trainee programme because the diversity of businesses within the company and the programme appealed to me. This has also proven to be true. Lantmännen's responsibility from farmland to table also means that there are many career options. Right now I am working at Corporate Head Office in Stockholm on a project in recruitment advertising for the entire group, a challenging and comprehensive assignment. This spring new and different tasks are waiting for me in Lithuania, where I will work with a logistics project on grain sales and storage within a subsidiary to Lantmännen, which feels really interesting and exciting!
