Lantmännen’s Board of Directors consists of a minimum of 7 and a maximum of 13 members elected according to the regulations by the association, including the President, chief legal advisor, and three personnel representatives.

The members are elected for a period of two consecutive years. At the present time (2007) there are 10 members on the board.
The board is responsible for the organisation and administration of the association, which means that it determines the association’s overall strategy and takes decisions on essential strategic choices for the group.

The board appoints the President and CEO, and issues guidelines for the administration of the association. The President is responsible for the business development of the association and leads and coordinates daily activities according to the guidelines and directives of the board. The President sets targets for the organisation on the basis of the guidelines established by the board. The division of duties between the board and the President is regulated by the agenda for the board.
